One Little Boy's Christmas Wish

One little boy
This holiday season has no joy
This was taken from him many months ago
Now he has no happiness to show
On a cold winters night
His daddy was sent away to fight
To fight in a war
With him his daddy is no more
For Christmas this little boy
Doesn't want a single toy
To Santa he is writing a letter
Asking for something much better
This little boy asks for one thing
If home his daddy Santa could bring
His mommy says daddy won't be home for Christmas this year
In that moment the boy sheds a tear
This little boy doesn't understand why daddy has to fight
In a far away land tonight
He only knows one thing
Home his daddy he wants Santa to bring
